Salem Community Gardens | SALEM, MA
With a combination of
in-ground plots with raised beds, Palmer Cove is a lovely garden in the heart of Salem. Located on the water across from Palmer Cove Yacht Club, PC offers gorgeous views and a great community of gardeners.
Trish Hale and
We take great pride in our four amazing gardens, which are paid for by annual plot fees and built and maintained using volunteer labor.
Each garden has a number of Donation Plots, which are cared for and maintained by volunteer gardeners. The harvests from these plots are donated weekly to Lifebridge Salem, located in downtown Salem. Any questions regarding our donation program should be directed to Cindy Rhodes.
Mack Park is a gardener's garden. Located at the top of Mack Park, the in-ground plots here are huge.
The experience of Mack Park's gardeners is obvious, as their crops are unique, beautiful,
and clearly bountiful.
Pickman Park is located in South Salem, in the middle of a gorgeous salt marsh on an unused tennis court, and features 4x4' and 2x8' raised beds. Watch red-tailed hawks, wild turkeys and snowy egrets while you garden.

"The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just on the body, but the soul."
Our newest garden, Splaine Park, is located alongside a recently renovated, Central Salem ball field and family recreational park. Splaine Park Garden has 2'x8' raised beds, and is a lovely place to garden while the family has fun at the playground or watches the game.
